Where these frames come from

Upper Mustang, Langtang and the Manaslu Circuit. Fewer trekkers, longer approaches, and country that still feels genuinely far away.

Every photograph here was taken on a working departure — by our guides between load checks and weather calls, or by trekkers who lent us their best frame at the end of the trip. Nothing is staged: the yaks were passing anyway, the light did that on its own.

Cameras ranged from a well-travelled phone to one serious mirrorless body. Altitude, not equipment, is the real filter up here.
