Nepali-owned since 2006 — twenty years of safe ascents, fair mountain work and honest prices.
Go Trek Nepal Himalaya started in 2006 with one desk, one phone, and a founding team of guides who had spent their whole lives walking the routes we now sell. Twenty years later, we are still Nepali-owned, still in Thamel, and still answering the office phone ourselves.
We built the company on a simple belief: the people who carry the loads and read the weather should own the business. Every guide is salaried and insured, every porter carries a fair load with proper gear, and every price we quote is the whole price.
Meet the TeamBuilt-in acclimatisation, daily health checks above 3,000 m, and guides empowered to turn around. No view is worth a life; there is always another season.
Salaried, insured guides and porters with proper equipment, weight limits and off-season support. Good treks are built on good jobs.
The quote you receive is the price you pay. Every inclusion and exclusion in writing before a single rupee changes hands.
Registered as a Pvt. Ltd. in Kathmandu; first season guiding EBC and Poon Hill with three guides and borrowed duffel bags.
Added Manaslu and Upper Mustang operations, becoming one of the smaller agencies trusted with restricted-area permits.
Suspended commercial trips and ran relief logistics into Langtang with our porter network. We rebuilt alongside the villages we walk through.
Our biggest year — and the year we capped group sizes at 12, because bigger was not better.
New national rules made licensed guides mandatory on trekking routes — the standard we had operated on since day one.
Still Nepali-owned, still in Thamel, still picking every teahouse ourselves. The next twenty start with your trek.
