Clear rules, no fine-print surprises. This policy forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
20% deposit confirms your booking. Balance is due on arrival in Kathmandu — card (3.5% bank fee), bank transfer or cash (USD, EUR or NPR). Instalment plans are available on request up to 30 days before departure.
A free date change is always offered before any cancellation is processed — most trekkers take it.
If we cancel a departure for reasons within our control, you choose: full refund, or the same trip on another date, or an alternative route of equal value. We do not cancel for group-size reasons — confirmed means confirmed, even for two people.
Lukla and other mountain flights are weather-dependent. Costs arising from delays (extra hotel nights, changed international flights) are not covered by the package — this is exactly what travel insurance is for. We assist with all rebooking at no service charge, and helicopter transfers can be arranged at cost when flights back up.
No refunds for unused services after a trip begins — including early descent, skipped acclimatisation days or leaving the trek by choice. If a trek ends early on your guide's safety decision, we refund unused teahouse and permit costs where recoverable.
Group departures run with 2–12 trekkers; tiered group pricing applies as published on each trip page. Private departures can be arranged for any date at the published private rate.
Minimum age 10 on classic treks (younger considered case-by-case on lower routes), and under-18s must trek with a parent or guardian. There is no upper age limit — a doctor's fitness note is required for trekkers over 70 on routes above 4,000 m.
